DIF APAC/ASEAN - December 2021

Hello folks, 

I hope you all are ready for the holiday season. 2021 hasn't been the easiest of the years and we as a group tried to make the best out of it. 

Here are a few key highlights of 2021 for the DIF APAC/ASEAN group
  • We hosted 11 sessions starting from January until November with country spotlights on China, India (x2), Myanmar
  • We heard from companies - Finema on Decentralized Identity in Thailand, AID:Tech on Aid distribution, Zada's work on Covid credentials in Myanmar and many more
  • Affinidi built a Schema Manager to generate custom VCs within minutes
  • Catherine got onto the Steering Committee of DIF, yay to representation from this side of the world and she did represent DIF at the Identity Week Asia 2021

The APAC-ASEAN group at DIF have been able to highlight some of the
key discussions around SSI with specific focus on the region. Exactly
as is needed.

Thank you - Catherine, Eric and Sandeep for putting in the work you do
to keep the group engaged, prodding the participants to think and
participate in the conversations and highlighting the community.
